Today is the third and final day of the 3i Show taking place in Garden City, Kansas. All reports indicate that this show has been a great success.
The show started out well on Wednesday morning, with some early-to-arrive event attendees making purchases from the vendors before the show even officially opened. While the weather isn’t allowing farmers to get out in the fields and plant in many areas of the country, the weather in Garden City has been ideal for the 3i Show thus far.
Thursday’s attendance was slightly less than opening day, but still proved to bring a good crowd. Towards the end of the day, The 3i Show kicked off the first annual Classic Truck and Tractor Auction, which created a lot of excitement and was definitely a success. The auction had 22 items that were either very unique, very rare, or totally refurbished. All enteries were submitted and reviewed by the selection panel, and many were rejected because they didn’t qualify.
There were 200 total bidders in the auction, with 134 coming from Internet bidders. There was a live crowd of about 250 people there to witness the auction. Auction winners came from ten different states, and the auction collected over $140,000 for the tractors and trucks sold.
