It is that time of year again where people from all over the country take their tractors out of the fields and take them for a cruise… no boats involved in these cruises.
Tractor cruises typically take place in the Summer months all over the country and have become a tradition to many. Monday, June 15th, marked the 10th Anniversary of the Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade, which brought out record numbers of tractors this year. Tractorcade organizers said that 509 tractors were registered this year, compared to the usual numbers of around 450. Check out more in depth coverage of the event and see some event photos here.
Thanks to one of our Twitter followers @tractorama, we found out about the Heart of America Tractor Cruise. This event will take place this Saturday, June 20th. The cruise departs from Northwest Missouri State University and will take cruisers through the Missouri countryside. According to Heart of America Tractor Club Vice President, Mike Wells, all the funds generated from the event will be donated to several organizations within the community, such as special needs camps and the Special Olympics. Check out some of @tractorama’s photos of past tractor cruises.
If you are participating in a tractor cruise and would like to share your information or experience with Fastline, email us at interact@fastline.com. We would love to see what Fastline readers and their tractors are up to.
