Not long ago, we featured Steve Tucker, a small town Nebraska Farmer who went from the tractor to the television when he was interviewed by CNN. If you missed that story, check it out here. Unfortunately, this time we feature Steve for a very unfortunate reason- Hail Damage.
Here is what Steve had to say on his blog, regarding the situation. “Unfortunately, 90 acres shy of the goal, it decided to rain…and hail. It hailed out 300 acres of the 700 acres I had left to harvest. This makes the 5th hail storm I have had this growing season. Over 50% of Perkins County, Nebraska has suffered from hail damage.” However, even with the devastating damage, Steve remains positive and will make the best of the situation… and do it all again next year.
