The 2009 World Dairy Expo kicks off today in Madison, Wisconsin. According to the show’s website, more than 68,000 dairy industry enthusiasts will make the trip to this year’s event.
The World Dairy Expo not only gives attendees the chance to see the most modern equipment in dairy today, but it also allows people involved in dairy industry the chance to meet and network. The dairy industry is in the midst of a crisis, as milk prices are very low and many people are being forced to leave the dairy business. However, the spirit of the event is still very positive and upbeat. The dairy industry may be down…. but they are certainly not out.
The show website is utilizing technology quite well with the World Dairy Expo Live Webcast and the photo gallery, which is powered by Flickr.
