August 10‐12, 2010 marks the 77th anniversary of the Empire Farm Days, the largest, outdoor, three‐day agricultural trade show in the Northeast. The event features 600‐plus exhibitors and attracts 70,000‐some farmers from the US and Canada. The farmer‐hosted event’s history began in 1931 when the Empire State Potato Growers, Inc. sponsored its first annual agricultural show. Over the years, the event has changed its name, location and size, but never its sponsor or its purpose to bring farmers in the Northeast the newest techniques and equipment available to agriculture.
“Since 1988, Rodman Lott & Son Farms at 2973 Route 414 in Seneca Falls has been where farmers, agribusiness and citizens who appreciate our agricultural bounty and agriculture’s contributions to our economy have come together, all in one place, all at one time, for this high quality agricultural trade show,” says Empire Farm Days Manager Melanie Wickham.
