Deere Closes Deal on Joint Venture

According to a press release issued by Deere & Company yesterday, all legal requirements have been completed to form a joint venture in India. The venture is between Deere’s Worldwide Construction & Forestry Division and Ashok Leyland Limited, the flagship of the Hinduja Group.

Farm Bureau Cares About Ag Education

The American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture, in cooperation with the AFB Women’s Leadership Committee, has awarded 23 $500 mini-grants to communities across the nation. The grants will be used to create or continue funding for Ag education programs in the selected communities.

Monsanto Opens a Water Utilization Learning Center

Earlier this week, Monsanto opened Agriculture’s first Water Utilization Learning Center in Gothenburg, Nebraska.  The new $6 million facility is one of  three Monsanto learning centers in the United States.

Deere Names New CEO

Deere & Co. announced today that its board of directors has named Samuel R. Allen as the ninth Chief Executive Officer in the company’s 172 year-history.
