CNH Parts & Service, the product support business of agricultural and construction equipment maker CNH Global, today announced a new supplier agreement with LDJ Manufacturing Inc. of Pella, Iowa, to offer its Thunder Creek Equipment line of fuel and service trailers through Case Construction, Case IH, New Holland, New Holland Construction, and Kobelco equipment dealerships in the U.S.

According to Michael Pirkl, Marketing Manager for CNH Parts & Service, the new line of service trailers are an excellent fit for the company’s construction and agricultural equipment customers, especially now that its Tier IV engines in the 100-HP and over category require Diesel Exhaust Fluid, or DEF, to meet emission standards.

“These products are ideal for customers who want the rugged dependability of a service trailer, combined with the convenience of bulk fuel/lube and DEF delivery system – in a single mobile platform,” notes Pirkl. “Increasingly, our customers need to deliver DEF and fuel to their machines in the field. These utility trailers from Thunder Creek Equipment are a perfect solution, making clean technology from CNH convenient.”

Popular options include:

· Complete patent-pending DEF (urea) delivery solution

· Exclusive 40 gallon-per-minute fuel pump

· Bulk oil transport tanks for engine and hudraulic oils

· Rear utility box for equipment and tool storage

· Front lockable toolbox, to protect fuel and DEF pumps

“Over the years, we have gained a reputation for not only quality work but also for creativity and design excellence,” notes Loren Van Wyk, who founded LDJ Manufacturing in 1995. “We are proud of the products we build, and for the utility they bring to CNH customers” adds Van Wyk’s son Luke, the firm’s general manager.

“Our production staff is world-class, and our customers are served by a team of sales, marketing and administrative professionals that is second to none.”

Schaffert Mfg. & Sales, the leader in Seed and Fertilizer Application Systems is excited to introduce our NEW, Generation 2 – 2 x 2 Fertilizer Disc.  Its unique one-piece design will keep the down pressure even on both press wheels as they move in unison.  The arm of the G2 is mounted on a pivot point that is grease able and attaches to the tail section with 4 bolts.

The G2 has similar features of our original 2 x 2 system, but with improved depth management.  The disc mounting arm provides ½” to 2” depth placement. There are 3 adjustment holes, which allows movement up or down of the disc.  Also, tires can be spaced in and out with shims, depending on depth of planting. The 2.5 mm, 8” disc allows for improved depth, and with a larger beveled edge, which dramatically improves cutting even in the toughest soils. The thick blade slices into the soil letting the fertilizer penetrate to the bottom.

We switched to a wider spindle bolt and added a grease zerk to allow for internal lubricating. These improvements allow continual movement and increased stability. The NEW G2 still utilizes the same triple sealed bearing, designed for harsh conditions.

The NEW G2 liquid disc will accommodate most spiked closing wheels.  You can also remove the disc when fertilizer is not needed.

It will work on most John Deere, Kinze (after market), White, and 2- hole adjustment tail sections.

“The new G2 addresses a few of the limitations of the successful counterpart G1 version. “With a central mounting of the walking beam arm, equal distribution of down pressure is maintained with the closing wheels never sacrificing the closing of the furrow. This allows for a consistent creation of a “2.5 mm slit” with the 8″ blade for the fertilizer to penetrate below the soil”, says Ramiro Trevino, VP of Product Development at Schaffert Mfg.

The Kuhn Primor 5570 M bale processor is ideally suited for the distribution of bedding in bedded-pack barns, as well as direct feeding of hay, silage and baleage. This machine can process large square bales up to 8′ 10″ long, as well as round bales that are 4′ wide and up to 6′ 7″ in diameter, to meet the needs of producers with medium- to large-sized operations.

This model comes as a heavy-duty, trailed machine designed for lower horsepower tractors. The top discharge blower allows the operator to easily direct and control the spread pattern of the material; distances of up to 60 feet can be reached without adding options. The Polydrive belt system drives the feed rotor, which pulls material from the bale without overcutting, resulting in uniform material length and consistency when bedding and feeding. The exclusive Unroll System makes it possible to load up to three round bales simultaneously, without the risk of jamming or uneven distribution.
Kuhn North America, Inc., of Brodhead, Wisconsin, is a leading innovator in the field of agricultural and industrial equipment, specializing in spreaders, mixers, hay tools and tillage tools. Kuhn- and Kuhn Knight-brand products are sold by farm equipment dealers throughout the United States, Canada, and many other countries.

Building on Success, GVM Replaces Last Year’s E350 with Three New Models

Last August, GVM released the E350 Prowler, a machine that featured our largest capacities yet, an all new Variable Coil Spring Suspension, a larger cab, AgriWAVE® by AgJunction® and provided more power to the ground.

This year, GVM is replacing the E350 Prowler with three new E-Series Prowler models: the E370, the E325 and the E275. All models will feature the same, forward-mounted, Air Ride Cab with floor to ceiling glass, 32 inches of crop clearance and a Variable Coil Spring Suspension. The new models also feature the same electronic monitoring system providing machine diagnostic and gauges on a simple touch screen and AgriWAVE by GVM AgJunction.

The E370 Prowler gets its name from its large, 350 horsepower engine featuring a power bulge to 370 horsepower and is 11 ton dry capacity (1800 gallon liquid capacity). This model has a Cummins Tier 3 QSL8.9L 350 hp engine, a Funk DF250-11 speed electric bump-shirt transmission with torque converter lock up and proportional differential.

The E325 Prowler has a slightly smaller engine, using a Cummins Tier 3 QSL8.9L 300 horsepower with a power bulge to 325 hp and the new ZF 6WG210-6 speed power shift transmission with torque converter lock up and proportional differential. This model also has a large, 11 ton dry and 1800 gallon liquid capacity.

The E275, built with a  Cummins Tier 3 QSB6.7L 275 horsepower engine and the new ZF 6WG210-6speed powershift transmission with torque converter lock up and proportional differential and WB 158”, this model features the smallest engine in the E-Series line-up. It’s chassis is also shorter to provide better maneuverability and while it can still handle an 11 ton capacity, it features a 9.5T dry body and 1600 gallon liquid tank.

The E-Series line-up will be displayed and ready for ride and drive at the MAGIE show and GVM’s Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania Field Days and machine demo’s are available upon request.
